Credit Card Fraud: Be Careful!

Yesterday I met my friend Lisa. Lisa has recently faced credit card fraud. A month ago she noticed some unauthorized purchases in her statement. She contacted the credit card company and got her credit account frozen. Luckily, she has a small limit on your credit card, as it is her first plastic. So, fraudsters didn’t manage to take much money. But still, nothing pleasant.
I browsed the Internet and learned the next thing about credit card fraud. Today it is wide spreading. You can face it anywhere where is credit card scanner. Fraudsters put their credit card skimmers on ATM machines, at grocery stores and gas pumps, on Redbox movie rental machines at local McDonalds, everywhere. But the worst thing about this is nobody can protect you against fraud except yourself. So, be careful. Do your best to keep your identity information secure, protect your money.
If you often use ATM machines, follow these tips in order to protect your identity:
• Keep a safe distance from others in line. Never allow a stranger to assist or distract you.
• Stand close to the screen of an ATM machine and try to shield your key strokes from others waiting in line.
• If you think that the ATM machine is not working properly, do not use it. Press cancel, get your card, and report the ATM to your credit card company or bank.
• When the transaction is over, make sure that the screen is clear before leaving the ATM.

Save On Everyday Purchases

How much do you spend while making your usual purchases? Recent surveys show that Americans tend to overspend on foodstuffs. Every time we visit supermarkets we buy much more food than we need. Moreover, we do not use as much foodstuffs as we buy, so we throw away lots of products. It is just a waste of money!
How to save? First, make a list of food you need and stick to the list. I have never made such list before, but three months ago I decided to check whether the lists work or not. Lists of purchases do work! Now I spend less time in groceries and purchases only the things I really need. It saves me enough bucks and time.
One of my friend trying to save money on food makes a list of possible dishes for the whole week. Every Sunday she makes a list of dishes she will make during the week and then she buys only the foodstuffs necessary for her menu. She assures that thus she saves a lot money that she can then spend on make-up and dresses.
So, choose you way to spend on everyday purchases.
